I like how showing appreciation for bacon is the new in thing to get indie cred. I'm just waiting to see some dude with a beard in a lumberjack shirt and girl pants to ask some girl with a terrible haircut, stretch jeans, and an oversize shirt, "hey so you wanna go listen to Tom Waits on vinyl and eat some bacon?" and in return she'll say "oh em gee, that's so random! sounds epic!"

Bacon, and the love there of, has become trendy. Espousing your love for bacon is the new "cool/ironic" thing to do amongst hipsters. For those of us who have loved curred pork belly since early chindhood, it give us just another reason to punch them in the face.
