Yeah, I help with this show, but mostly on the planning, promotions, sponsorship side, I had like 4 games there last year. The most crowded time was probably Saturday evening from like 5-11pm. Even then, you could still step up and play a game, but if you wanted to play say the brand new ones at the time (Shrek, Indiana Jones 4, Spiderman) you might have to wait behind a person or two. This year the arcade guys are bringing and extra 100 classic arcade games and it's expanded to another room, so it should be easy to get on games.
I think Steve Wiebe is actually going to try to win back the Donkey Kong record at this show, so he might be there playing the whole fucking time. He just broke the record on DK Jr. too. Walter Day is speaking and will be their all weekend, he's the crazy Twin Galaxies referee guy that's in the King of Kong (and also Chasing Ghosts and High Score if you've seen either). They are gonna do some arcade game hall of fame announcement with that dude and have all these world record attempts in some roped off area... although I can't imagine watching some guy play Asteroids for 18 hours straight is that thrilling, I more go just to play a shitload of games for 3 or 4 hours and play a bunch stuff I've never seen before. I love the D&D, dungeon, warrior, scantily clad chick '80s pins that remind of shitty weed, Journey and mullets. There will also be a bunch of prizes and raffles to win pinball machines and arcade games and a cash tournament for serious players. Here's video shot last year:
