Insound Exclusive 7” Re-issues
« on: April 21, 2009, 12:06:15 PM »

Got this email this morning:
_____

Insound is very proud to be announcing the start of a new and ongoing project to bring back great out-of-print punk, post-punk and indie singles. Our goal is make these titles available in their original form, re-pressed from the master tapes and with the original artwork - all of which makes them collector items today. Each release will be strictly limited to 1000 copies so make sure you stay tuned to this email as we'll be keeping all you affiliates updated when more are announced in the coming months!

To start the project off, we've secured two long out of print records: The Ramones - California Sun EP and The Replacements - I'll Be You single.

The Ramones – California Sun EP: Originally released on Sire Records in 1976, The Ramones California Sun EP features the title track plus I Don't Want To Walk Around With You taped live at The Roxy on 8/12/1976. The B-side is the unforgettable studio version of I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend. This EP is highly sought after by Ramones collectors and goes for steep prices on the open market. For more details visit: http://www.insound.com/search/showrelease.jsp?p=INS55998.

The Replacements – I'll Be You 7” Single: Released in 1989, this superb single from the Minnesota legends' Don't Tell a Soul album also contains a Non-LP B-side song Date To Church featuring the inimitable Tom Waits. The long out-of-print single is essential for Replacements and Tom Waits fans. For more details visit: http://www.insound.com/search/showrelease.jsp?p=INS55999.

what a totally stupid cash grab.  Re-issues of crap like this is rediculous.  Expecially when this stuff is available all over the place. (at least the Ramones stuff).  The Replacements stuff is re-issues from the Don't Tell a Soul Era?  A lot of people are gonna be let down!
