"Mile high club..."
« on: April 19, 2009, 06:38:34 PM »

I'm only slightly paying attention to it while listening to Off with their Heads, but Snakes on a Plane might be the best ultra-ultra-ultra shitty movie ever. I had always avoided watching it on principle, but damn. Entertainment.

I'm just trying to look at it in a comedic level. It is definitely a piece of shit, but I've definitely seen worse.

i saw it really drunk with a big group of people. when sam jackson said he was tired of those mother fuckin snakes, we through tons of rubber snakes and paper airplanes. i went knowing it was going to be horrible but it was worse than that. not even being drunk made it fun...

after we left the theater, we saw people getting their money back because we ruined the whole thing. i blame gerrity.

Ah shit, I'm watching it on FX, and the motherfuckin' snakes line just came...except on FX, Samuel L Jackson is tired of these "Monkeyfightin' snakes on this monkeyfightin' plane!" My roommate and I both laughed for awhile over that.

When my wife and I started dating, we went to see this in the theatre. We both thought it was hilarious. We both like really bad comedies, though.

I thought it was comedic genius.

I'm a fan of really bad horror/action movies though. When I saw The Hills have eyes two?My lord, I'm not sure I've ever laughed so hard during a movie.

This movie was merely meant to be a high budget joke.. It was supposed to be campy.. I know they were unfortunately going for instant cult status and missed their mark.  But hey... Everyone got roped into seeing it right?  If you want really bad movies, check out half of the Troma section... Quite possibly the best worst movies ever

Very true. Troma has a ton of low budget shit productions that Lloyd has nothing to do with. There's also a lot of fucking GEMS. Mainly monster in the closet. One of my all time favorite horror movies.

I met Lloyd in Venice beach a few years back. Best celebrity encounter ever.
