i wish i had this book growing up, and i wish i could have given it to my sister when she needed it. so awesome for budding little feminists.

i think i feel sort of an affinity towards this sort of stuff because growing up, my babysitter was this super progressive riotgrrrl who helped establish the zine library in olympia and gave me every copy of her feminist zine she had ever published. i was only like, 10 or 11 but knew about dental dams and queer politics and bikini kill and screen printing, and as an adult, i am totally thankful for being exposed to that.

even in a progressive world, being an adolescent girl is still tough as shit.
