I thought being pissed all the time and unable to control your emotions was punk rock? You all are a bunch of pussies

I used to be a frustrated and angry kid. I actually have to say punk rock made me less so. It gave me an outlet, aggressive music, going to shows and dancing in the pit to get out all my energy, reading zines by similarly frustrated kids, and meeting a whole world of people with often a similar take on things. When I hit my mid-20s I pretty much stopped being an angry person entirely. Stopped getting in arguments with friends, family and girlfriends. And realized the arguments and anger never gave me anything good (although I'll still debate politics, social issues and give my friends crap). I became a total positive jackass and focused more on just having fun in life. I think my level of happiness and positive outlook totally annoys some of my friends and coworkers, but in my eyes, they are just trying to drag me down!
