how about 1st show you went to w/out your parents, a.k.a. not something you were dragged to...

My parents have all these awesome stories about seeing Black Sabbath and Zeppelin and shit, yet those fuckers never took me to a concert when I was a kid. They finally let me start going to shows when I was 16, and they took me to Bumbershoot for a couple years after that. That's all I got out of them, and they're both pretty musical people - my mom sings, and my dad played guitar and drums when he was a kid. >:(

my first show without my parents, where i went without any chaperon, was in-between 8th and 9th grade. August 13, 1994. Same day the Seahawks played the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a preseason game. Memorial Stadium. Soundgarden, Screaming Trees, Reverend Horton Heat, You Am I.

I never went to a show with my parents, they didn't like rock. Somehow I talked them into letting me start going to big concerts when I was 14 and they never noticed how wasted I was when I got home.
