The first one I can remember was Merle Haggard at the horse track in Spokane when I was in probably 5th grade. It was pretty awesome, he was trashed, came onstage about 40 minutes late and then mumbled his way through a couple of songs before forgetting the words to Okie From Muskogee, he then stumbled off stage. While this would usually disappoint it made me really like outlaw country, and I still do to this day.

I saw Chubby Checker in a gym in Kelso in like 89 or something.  It was okay.  I then saw the Hermans Hermits later that year, it was wayyyy better.  This is my first recollection of a concert.

I lived in Iowa City, and someone mentioned Timbuk3 was playing this tiny bar near campus. It was pretty fascinating, hearing them talk about the reasons behind their folk songs - I still remember "Throwdown Gun", and their discussion of corrupt cops carrying filed-off numbered guns...so when they shot a suspect (dead) running from them, they would claim it was self-defense.

Bon Jovi on the New Jersey tour when I was in 5th grade. That would've been 1989 or some shit. Skid Row was the opening band and I remember they hadn't "broke" yet. Those were exciting times...

haha bon jovi is from my town.  skid row is from the town next to me.  my uncle played a charity softball game against skid row, and of course skid row lost that game. hahaha.

First show I can remember was Tim Noah, the 'In Search of the Wow Wow Wibble Woggle Wazzie Woodle Woo' tour when I was like 6 or something.  It was pretty legendary.

Then there was a long gap between that and Weezer with Superdrag at DV8 in like '94 or '95

That's amazing. I can't imaging Sebastian Bach playing softball.
