There's no way DV8 still existed when Rise Against were around.  It was long gone by 2001, wasn't it?

guess not. but it had to close around then, didn't it? because i KNOW they closed before that and then re-opened and had to close again (legal issues, i believe involving a rape of some sort), but i thought it was much earlier. i had moved to CA in 1998 and didnt come back until 2003, so i am out of the loop!

GBH, in Portland, probably around '90. It was at the Pine Street Theater.

The Queers, Elmer, somebody else in Salem, OR.  I forget where.  Fall of 95, went straight to this show after seeing The Rentals open for Alanis Morrissette, I guess we caught about 10 sec of Hand in My Pocket.  With my pals Mykel and Carli.

Whoa, I was at this show, I believe. Wasn't it in a theater downtown? Like on Liberty or High Street or something?

My dad took me and my sister to go see The Queers when I was 13 or 14 so my sister was either 12 or 14...it was amazing and my dad rules...I think the Groovie Ghoulies also played that show

My first punk show was probably The U-Men and Husker Du in 1984 or 1985 at the UW's Hub Ballroom. Man, I saw a bunch of great shows there, it's too bad they don't do shows there anymore. I probably went to a bunch of the same shows as Allison's dad  :)

New song Coffee house in Port Orchard, sometime in the early 90. Maybe 93ish. Saw 90lb Wuss, MxPx, and one other band that I can't recall.

Sounds Christiany. But I dug 90lb Wuss! I saw what I think was their first show at the Lake Union Pub, they put on a great set but I think were mortified of the drunk punk crowd. There was a big controversy in the letters section of my old punk zine when I ran an ad for 90lb Wuss and was accused of supporting the Christian punk movement. It was pretty funny.

The U-Men and Husker Du in 1984 or 1985

I'm swooning and drooling just thinking of that.

See, my response was going to be "I thought it said punk show." But I'm a dick like that.

I was at that show. It was 85 and we snuck in and got kicked out several times but still managed to see the bands and meet Husker Du. Grant Hart is a dick.

Weird, he's always been really cool to my friends, but maybe it's as he's gotten older that he's chilled out or something.  I've always assumed that Bob Mould was the asshole of the Huskers.
