We have a Tape-release show at the comet tavern(21+) on Mon. Aug 17th. Followed by several more shows, all of which all-ages. Info is on our myspace dudes. Thanks.

Thanks guys! Appreciate the input.

Chris - your band mate ryan, is actually a pretty good friend of mine, and another member of our band.

For anyone who hasn't listened yet, this is similar to; slowdive, elliott smith, the raincoats, godspeed you black emperor!/constellation records, my bloody valentine, grandaddy, etc...

You guys play well! It's a bit out of my normal music range, but I dig. Those all ages shows sound compelling!

whatever. we may be on the mellow side, but we're punk as fuck no doubt. Totally DIY, prefer all-ages/house shows whenever possible. I myself am a staunch anarchist, so as the songwriter/lyricist, this reflects in nearly all of our lyrics/songs. Just because we're not an early against me! clone, doesn't mean you should write it off...

Sorry if I seem sour, but I am tired of genre-separatism in the underground . It's severely hurting the DIY community(much the same as many radical-political/and or activist movements) and further more, makes for boring shows. I believe bands should be networking based on aesthetic. Shows should be multi-genres, and perhaps supporting a similar cause(ie. homeless-outreach, fundraising, activism, etc). We distribute zines, and finer published political literature at our shows, and I think more bands should be doing similar things! Let's see more local record-distro's at shows, more infoshops, and food not bombs! When did punks become so apathetic? It can't really be ALL about the music, can it?

:P That's cool, maybe I'll come out to a show sometime.
I agree with pretty much everything that you said, it's just that I really dislike most of the bands that you compared it to.

Here, hear.  Well put sir.

By the way, also good stuff.

One of my future bands I'm going to play Trombone, Cello, and Piano and it's going to have at least 12 members that all sing and will sound much like Godspeed/Silver Mt. Zion.

I just need to relearn how to play trombone and piano and really learn how to play cello.

Keep it up, band distros have been severely lacking the past coupla years, for reals.
